13. Design Aim

In these clothes I have merged specific clothing styles used for movement in dance and sports and brought them to everyday wear.

By merging these styles I have created something unique and yet retained a sporty dance comfort to everyday wear. In addition, I have ensured an ease fit through design, grading and adjustable features.

Dance and sports disciplines create their own recognisable ways of moving within specific lines in three dimensional space. Here, I have mixed these up for every day wear.

I have taken and mixed inspirations from styles ranging from Northern Soul flares, flamenco ruffles to ballet dance, gymnastics or ice skating leotards.

The line represents an open road through open space.
