12. Design message

I want my designs to open up more acceptance to being different.

12. Design Aim

I have tried to make my clothing combinations stand out as different through distinctive features yet combine those features within garments or ensembles. I have used tartans which could have been worn by punks, for country clothing or as national dress. Fabrics associate people but also open them up to hiding truths, discrimination and interference.

My line could be dotted here. The sharing of stories will be represented by dots, and the information held back will be represented by white space. A truth can be hard to tell in full because a truth can involve divulging information that will cause discrimination and an invasion of privacy.
