Your starting position inspires your how you move.

18. Design Aim

To design for free movement I decided on a constant starting position and a set of rules.

My constant starting position is the shoulder width measurement. Garment variations continue to start, return and anchor from there.

My set of rules to design for movement come from principles of clothing design and rules from maths.

In returning to the line analogy, I see we are all born equally into the line but we land in different starting Positions, locations. These Positions on that line start to suggest the rules we live by. We are all equally entitled to our life beliefs.
