17. NO BRICKS & MORTAR

17. Design Message.

On line shopping needs to be more than one pane window shopping through a bricks and mortar multi pane shop window.

17. Design Aim

I have physically sought out a life viewing the world through multi pane windows. In moving on designing at craft level I have looked at increasing the multi pane visibility on-line.

I see an on line shop has to tackle the danger of viewing through one pane. You can’t try on garments, see their size, how they look or feel in real life.

This opens up the need to present detailed product overviews to answer on line buyers’ questions.

I have tabulated the range of international measurements to help ensure a good fit without trying on. I have matched these international sizes to 3 ease fit sizes, S M L, and included my own ease tolerance into those sizes. My designs don’t have darts, and so don’t need a precise accurate fit, however you can’t quite see actual size on line.

I have displayed photos and descriptions to help ensure colours and fabrics are clear. I use neutral colours which are easier to match on screen. .

The line could be the multi pane window filter we use to question our way through life to bring about change. On a bricks and mortar level, the line highlights how randomly, some of us are born viewing life able to even choose a window style where others of us are born homeless, poor and sick with no window at all.
